IDfrontroofframe

One of the most encouraging aspects of the car was the condition of the roof frame, which was amazingly good and had never been repaired.

When buying an otherwise sound looking DS or ID which is running and on the road (ie. with the fibreglass roof panel still fitted) it is very difficult to ascertain the true condition of this frame.

Repair sections are available for this critical area but it can be very tricky to remove the roof without damaging it and to repair the frame properly.

I've resisted the temptation to add a thought bubble to friend Mike Mcguigan, saying: "he must be bonkers to take this on . . .".
